SUAREZ ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT SEASON

Atlético Madrid striker Luis Suarez may still be away on international duty with Uruguay, but he is already planning ahead of next season with his club. The former Liverpool star is currently trying to help Uruguay at the Copa America this summer but he is showing off his multi-tasking skills by revealing that he is already putting plans in place to shine for the Rojiblancos once again next season.

The striker starred for the Madrid club last season as he scored 20 League goals to help them clinch the Spanish La Liga title ahead of Barcelona and Real Madrid. Suarez joined Atletico from Barcelona two summers ago after being told by the Barca manager Ronald Koeman that he was no longer able to perform at the high level. However, he would go on to prove to the former Netherlands boss that he still has what it takes to be recognized as a top striker.

Although Suarez has not made any huge impact for Uruguay at the Copa America so far, the country’s head coach still believes that his presence will still be useful for the team as he hopes to make the most of the Cavani and Suarez partnership and try to get his hands on the South American title

In a recent interview, Suarez said that he is currently focused on having a great Copa America tournament with his country Uruguay and also admitted that he has not played as well as he planned earlier. He insisted that he is also thinking about next season already and has already set a target for himself in terms of the number of goals he would like to score in the coming season. According to the striker, Atletico Madrid will not relent next season as they will look forward to continuing from where they stopped last season.
