NEYMAR MEETS MESSI

After the arrival of Neymar, there have been several suggestions that Barcelona will not be able to accommodate both the Brazilian superstar and Lionel Messi in the same team. Neymar has come to the camp Nou at a cost of £ 50 million, which has led to suggestions that Barcelona should be looking to sell Lionel Messi. Messi has proven over the last five years that he is the best player in the world. He has not only led Barcelona to numerous successes – under the regime of Guardiola, but he has also helped himself to numerous trophies including four FIFA Ballon d’Or awards.

Former manager of Barcelona, Guardiola has rejected suggestions that Messi and Neymar not comparable because he thinks that the Argentine ace is capable of playing with the best in the world. He has said that this is the best player he has managed, and he sees no reason why he should be more compatible with Neymar. The Barcelona squad already has several star-studded players like Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas. However, the rise of Messi within Barcelona has coincided with the lack of settled strikers like David Villa, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Samuel Eto’o, who all have had to leave the club.

Guardiola recently took over at Bayern Munich after a 12-month long sabbatical.

“Barca have always had some of the best players in the world at their disposal, and Neymar and Messi are undoubtedly two of the best at the moment. I know Messi very well. He is a fantastic person as well as player. I have met Neymar too and he seems like a good lad and I`m sure they will have no problem playing together. It seemed perfectly normal to me that Spain lost [to Brazil]. They were physically better than us,” said the former Barca manager.
